High-temperature resistance: PEEK has a high melting point (334℃) and glass transition temperature (143℃), continuous service temperature of 260℃, its 30%GF or CF reinforced thermal load variant temperature up to 316℃.


Mechanical properties: good toughness and rigidity. It has excellent fatigue resistance to alternating stress comparable to alloy materials.


Self-lubricity (corrosion resistance): PEEK resin has excellent sliding characteristics and is suitable for use where a low coefficient of friction and wear resistance are strictly required.


Chemical resistance: PEEK has similar corrosion resistance to nickel steel. Polyether ether ketone is only dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid and has good chemical resistance, especially more acid and alkali resistance than polyimide under high-temperature conditions.


Flame retardancy: PEEK resin is a very stable polymer, 1.45mm thick sample, without any flame retardant can achieve the highest flame retardant standards.


Radiation resistance and peel resistance: PEEK has good radiation resistance and peels resistance, so it can be used to make electromagnetic wires for special purposes.

Fatigue resistance: PEEK resin has the best fatigue resistance of all resins.


Hydrolytic resistance: Products made of PEEK resin and its composite materials can maintain good performance when used continuously in high temperatures and high-pressure water.


Easy workability: PEEK resin has good fluidity at high temperatures and high thermal decomposition temperature. It can be processed by injection molding, molding, extrusion molding, blow molding, melting spinning, and so on.


Insulation stability: PEEK has good electrical insulation performance and maintains to a high-temperature range. Its dielectric loss is also small at high frequencies.


PEEK is a new specialty engineering plastic with properties comparable to polyimide, known as the ultra-heat resistant thermoplastic resin. Has the following attractive characteristics:


(1) short-term heat resistance: glass fiber or carbon fiber reinforced its thermal deformation temperature can reach more than 300℃.


(2) Long-term heat resistance: UL temperature index (RTI) is 250℃.


(3) Toughness: it is a very flexible resin.


(4) Flame retardant: UL94V−0 (1.5mm), self-extinguishing, the smoke emission is the least among all resins.

(5) Corrosion resistance/drug resistance: no solvent can erode it except concentrated sulfuric acid.


(6) Heat resistance water (can be used in 200 ~ 300℃ steam).


(7) Fatigue and creep resistance (is the highest in thermoplastics;


(8) Processing molding: in addition to injection molding, but also applicable to a variety of molding methods. Because it has a high temperature (350 ~ 400℃), good fluidity, and high thermal decomposition temperature (560℃) characteristics, so can use injection molding, extrusion molding, molding, blow molding, melting spinning, rotating molding, powder spraying, and other methods of molding processing. As secondary processing can be used vacuum forming, calendering, stretching, ultrasonic welding, bonding, composite, machining, and other processing means.
